Members' Council

As part of our continuing review into the management structures and procedures for governance within BAB we are forming a “Members’ Council”.

The purpose of this is to allow ordinary Members the opportunity to provide feedback on BAB Activities, share experiences with one-another and to make recommendations to the General Council (and ultimately the Executive Committee).

The Members’ Council will be made up of ordinary Members who volunteer (not Divisional Committee Members) because we want grassroots feedback directly from the Members.

This will ensure that the Executive Committee, the General Council and the CEO all have formal representation from Members. This will ultimately will provide a mechanism to let us know how well we are doing in providing support to our Members.

We really believe that this is an exciting opportunity for Members to get involved and provide feedback and shape the way in which BAB develops for the future.

The Members’ Council is planned to meet 3 times a year. In order to be on the Members’ Council you will need to be able to attend the meetings.

There will be an initial introductory meeting on 23 Jan 08 from 2-4pm at the BAB Resource Room in Aylesbury. Everyone eligible is invited to find out more.

Scheduled meetings thereafter are on 30 April 08 and 27 August 08.

If you are interested and you are not a Divisional Committee Member, please get in touch with Kiera at kbentley@bucksblind.co.uk
